Our Team
Matthew Kim (Co-Founder)
Hi, my name is Matthew Kim, and I am a rising junior currently enrolled in Fort Lee High School, NJ. I am a student-athlete who has faced tremendous adversity throughout my high school experience. Most people have one true calling in life; however, I face a duality between my passions for pursuing as a student and an athlete. With notebooks under my right arm and shoulder pads hanging from my backpack, pulling double duty is not an easy task, which is why the aim of Youth Stability and Support Alliance (YSSA) is to minimize harsh and demanding environments by spreading validated interventions relating to the prevention of suicidal behaviors.
Inseo Kang (Co-Founder)
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Isabella Zai (Executive)
Hi, my name is Isabella Zai, and I am a rising junior at Westwood High School. I’m a dedicated student and also a ping pong player, which means I spend a lot of time balancing schoolwork with training. Sometimes the pressure of wanting to do well in both can feel overwhelming, but it has also taught me the importance of balance and taking care of myself. Ping pong has given me discipline, focus, and joy, while school pushes me to grow in new ways, and together they shape who I am.
Jennie Tran (Co-Executive)
Hi, my name is Cam Tran (I go by Jennie), a rising junior at San Domenico, California. I am co-executive of YSSA’s California branch. I immigrated to the United States as a child, so I can relate to feelings of exclusion and difficulties in navigating family and school life. I want to promote mental health because I hope to reach students who are also on the same arduous journey that is being an adolescent.
Mazalit Glaubach (Co-Executive)
Hello. My Name is Mazalit Glaubach (Mazi for short). I am the co-executive of YSSA’s California branch and a rising junior at San Domenico High School, CA. Navigating the teen experience is universally challenging, and as someone who struggles with anxiety, adhd, and ocd, I know the layer of complexity that mental illness adds to all aspects of teenage life. I am proud to say that over the past three years, I have worked very hard on my emotional composure, my executive functioning skills, and my self-acceptance. At YSSA, we provide coping mechanisms and aim to guide students towards interpersonal stability and reduce self-harming behavior while acknowledging that everything around them may be turbulent.
Meixi Lin (Executive)
I’m Meixi Lin, a rising junior at Great Neck South High School. Balancing school and my own time hasn’t always been easy, but cheer, dance, archery, and poetry have been where I’ve found release, balance, and pieces of myself. Those small outlets became reminders that even little moments could bring me back to myself. My path has been about finding my own footing—and now, walking alongside others on theirs. I joined YSSA because I believe the best support comes when we stand beside each other, youth to youth.
